One speed measurement site is http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
My comcast connection shows:
19.81 Mbps downloading (!!!!!!)
and
2.56 Mbps uploading
Wow... that's FAST!
I don't see a download speed problem here, but I do see a slow response issue, like the webserver hosting this site is on an overloaded shared host. That's not at all uncommon.
Dang, that IS fast. Who is your provider??

I think herding stripers would be akin to herding cats.

Here's one from dslreports.com:

that's really fast, I ran speedtest just now and got 14.42 Mbps down and 2.33 up, not bad for ATT U-verse Max plus which is supposed to be 18 Mbps down. (You never get advertised speed anywhere.)
I access this site from several different locations and multiple computers, the page opening since the joomla software was started has been slow. We have a tier 3-T1 connection at the office that they get free from T-Mobile for allowing T-Mobile to install a cell tower on the property, that connection is regularly at 50/20 Mbps, if I have to download ANYthing, I do it at the office, (even if they do use Mac's). It is just as slow there.
My iPhone connects on 3G at 1.3 Mbps down/1.15 up and on wifi it gets just as fast as my home computer ~15 Mbps. Speedtest has a free App for your iPhone.

not to mention that it likely constitutes "Harassing wildlife"
I know Rangers who'll cite you for that offense......
We could fish for them, though...

A true trout bum is one who has commitments and responsibilities but won't give in. He doesn't run away to escape them, he just ignores them and goes fishing.......

I'm gonna bring live minnows, topwater lures, jigs, rattletraps and flies. I take no prisoners with Stripers, it's WAR.
Ocean Kayak came out with a new Rod Pod Cover this fall, I am going to upgrade my cover. I would consider the Trident 13, it is the best all around fishing kayak on the market, fast yet maneuverable with tons of storage and flat floors so you can stand up and fish easily (drawback of the T-15).
Hey Ed, if five to ten kayaks all fish a school of fish from one direction and push them toward a common shore, I don't see how DFG could call that "harrassing." It is similar to a deer drive which is completely legal.

I didn't sat it would stand up in court.... Just that you'd get written up, cited, and made to stop doing it. I suppose you think DFG needs a search warrant to search your house or car....

BADGES- WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' BADGES!
I had a warden that I thought was going to do a full body cavity search once. ( he was getting out the latex gloves). They should need a warrant to do that.

Personally I think we should get skirt back. That would cause a lot more posting, just in rebuttles. Besides I miss watching him blaming W for everything that is wrong in the world.
The Big O should be a dream come true to him.
No that could get some more posting going on!
